新聞分享 / 小女孩的一封信造就的不只有 Under Armour Curry 6 ‘United We Win’

在國際婦女節這天，Under Armour 發表了 Curry 6 全新配色，然而這是一款原本沒有在預定計畫內的版本，但去年有位小女孩 Riley Morrison 寫給 Stephen Curry 的一封信，發揮了意想不到的影響力，成為如今的 Curry 6 ‘United We Win’ 以及盼望成就更多可能的溫暖力量。

當時 Riley Morrison 因為想要入手 Curry 簽名球鞋，但卻發現 Under Armour 並沒有販售小女生尺寸，於是她寫下了心聲並讓爸爸分享在 Instagram 上，沒想到後來獲得 Stephen Curry 的親自回信，表示會盡快提供 Curry 5 給她 (當時 Curry 6 還未發售)，並邀請她參加國際婦女節期間的特殊企劃，也就是設計一款 Curry 6。

Riley Morrison 使用自己喜歡的顏色之外，還把親手寫的 ‘Be Fearless’、’Girl Power’、’Be the Change’、’Be Courage’、’Play with HEART’、’Girls Hoop Too’、’Rock the Currys’ 等文字放在鞋墊，「我很驚喜，當然也感謝 Stephen 給我機會，包含透過鞋墊上設計鼓舞其它女生們，這真是難以置信的經驗」Riley Morrison 說。此外透過 UA ICON 大家也可以自己設計第二副鞋墊，此雙 Curry 6 已經於美國官網的 UA ICON 及奧克蘭當地 SC30 x Oakland pop-up shop 發售，定價 130 元美金，同時還有主題服飾。

Stephen Curry 邀請 Riley Morrison 一家人到 SC30 x Oakland pop-up shop 參加發表活動。

至於為什麼我們會在標題說造就的不只是一雙 Curry 6 而已？原因是由於 ‘United We Win’ 計畫，讓 Stephen Curry 與妻子 Ayesha 成立的基金會 (Stephen and Ayesha Curry Family Foundation) 聯合 Under Armour，決定每年在國際婦女節提供一筆三萬美元的獎學金，頒發給舊金山符合資格的一名學生，並要求其成績需保持在 3.0 GPA，且至少每學期修習兩門以上的 STEM 相關課程，首名獲得獎學金的是一位華裔學生吳凱欣 (Vivian Wu)，他也在今天勇士隊比賽中場休息時接受表揚。喔，對了，Curry 6 ‘United We Win’ 的銷售收益也將捐給基金會作為獎學金之用。

從一封手寫信到獲得偶像回覆，終於有自己可以上腳的 Curry 球鞋而且還參與設計，並且讓舊金山地區有需要的學生能獲得資助，這應該是 Riley Morrison 當時所沒料想到的吧。
