因「歧視黑人」爭議,嬌生決定下架美白保養品!

由「佛洛伊德之死」掀起的全球反種族歧視抗議浪潮持續延燒,現在連美白保養品都成為大箭靶。

迫於輿論壓力,美國大廠嬌生(Johnson & Johnson)於美國時間 19 日宣布,將停售在亞洲和中東市場深受歡迎的美白保養產品。

嬌生集團旗下平價保養品牌「露得清(Neutrogena)」和「可伶可俐(Clean & Clear)」均有美白保養品的產品線,如乳霜或精華液等,這些產品並未在美國銷售,但在亞洲和中東地區很受歡迎。

綜合美國各家媒體報導,嬌生的一位女性發言人表示,嬌生集團將停售可伶可俐的美白保養品(Clear Fairness)及露得清的淡斑和美白保養品——細白系列(Neutrogena Fine Fairness),嬌生承諾,這些美白相關產品線將直接停產,官網也正在盡快將這些產品下架,但短時間內,消費者可能還是會在店頭架上看到先前已配送至零售店的美白產品。

該位嬌生發言人強調,「過去幾周的輿論爭議在於:部分產品名稱或淡斑產品聲明所呈現的是白皙皮膚更勝你個人獨特的膚色。那從來不是我們的意圖,健康肌膚就是美麗肌膚。」(Conversations over the past few weeks highlighted that some product names or claims on our dark spot reducer products represent fairness or white as better than your own unique skin tone. This was never our intention – healthy skin is beautiful skin.)

其實嬌生集團陸陸續續都有對「反膚色歧視」運動做出回應,但部份網友還是持續攻擊,使得嬌生必須下架其美白產品。

上週,同屬嬌生旗下 OK 繃品牌「Band-Aid」已在其官方 Instagram 宣布將會開發適合不同膚色的 OK 繃,「我們以堅定立場與非裔族群攜手對抗種族主義、暴力與不公義……我們將推出棕色、黑色等多種深淺的商品款式,以此符合各種膚色的美」。(We stand in solidarity with our Black colleagues, collaborators and community in the fight against racism, violence and injustice....We are committed to launching a range of bandages in light, medium and deep shades of Brown and Black skin tones that embrace the beauty of diverse skin.)
