Why You'll Love Costa Azzurra: It's a piece of Tom Ford; it's not your average fougere fragrance. You can smell expensive for up to 6 hours (it lasts even longer on clothes). The bottle looks and feels expensive. You're bound to get compliments! What Does Costa Azzurra Smell Like? When we tried it as a team, we pictured fresh soap shavings, lavender fields, barber shops and white linen shirts in the sun. We all picked up on how clean and refreshing it is. After spraying Costa Azzurra, the crisp smell of sophistication is evident. It's not overpowering or heavy. It's lightweight and fresh whilst still keeping the Tom Ford glamour we love. Costa Azzurra is a citrus fougere commonly seen to have a masculine edge. Still, from our experience, when this perfume settles, and the sharp citrus notes fade, you get left with a warm, woody, close-to-skin scent that you can smell hours later, especially when going in for a hug or double kiss. Key Perfume Notes: Juniper Berry, Myrtle Oil, Lemon, Cypress Oil, Cistus Absolute and Oakwood. Why It's Escentual: Every Tom Ford fragrance in the Signature Collection tells a story. When we learnt about Costa Azzurra, and its inspiration, we understood why it's a bestseller - the detail is everything. Costa Azzurra is one of Mr Ford's favourite places. To create this scent, he took cues from the shimmering turquoise seas, salty skin, and flourishing ferns. When you spray it and close your eyes, it's hard not to picture being on a sun lounger, not knowing what date or time it is - one can dream. Costa Azzurra is part of the Signature collection; the bottle gives this away. Its gold is because of his love for 70s glamour. The cap and art deco-inspired bottle gives off an opulent air. Together the scent and bottle make a real statement. Look out for the detail. You'll see the TF logo engraved on the top of the cap. You'll also see the fine line plisse detail on the lid and bottle, which is also imprinted on the outer box. If you wear Costa Azzurra Eau de Parfum, you'll know it comes in a white box with a transparent glass bottle. If you love the scent but are looking for more intensity, the answer is the Parfum, which is the one in the gold box with a metallic gold bottle. Costa Azzurra Parfum intensifies the more herbaceous tones, but it smells sunnier and feels warmer because it has salty amber, which the Eau de Parfum doesn't. We like to describe it as; If Costa Azzurra Eau de Parfum were a sunrise, Costa Azzurra Parfum would be the sunset. The Best Way To Use It: For the best performance, spritz Costa Azzurra Eau de Parfum onto your pulse points - particularly the neck and wrists. Press it in, don't pat. The heat and friction from the rubbing action can disrupt the way the notes last and dissipate throughout the day. The Sustainable Side: You can recycle the outer cardboard packaging.
