The program agenda of Habitat II, presented at the United Nations Conference on Human Settlements in Istanbul in 1996, will be addressed, emphasizing the need to meet housing demand from a comprehensive perspective.This approach not only provides a roof to shelter people but also ensures thermal comfort, adequate sanitation, and adaptation to the environmental conditions surrounding the home. The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) promotes inclusion and access to decent and sustainable housing, generating knowledge and tools to foster more inclusive societies. Through IDBAcademy, this course offers insights from experts in urban development, sustainability, and housing policies, providing skills to plan, design, and manage housing solutions that improve people’s quality of life. The course focuses on housing accessibility and affordability for all social groups, guaranteeing inclusion and equity. It seeks to enhance participants’ professional development by strengthening their ability to lead transformation processes in housing and urban development across the region.
