Minimise the appearance of photodamage and fine lines with The Ordinary Retinol 1% in Squalane, an high strength anti-ageing treatment for regular retinol users that's ideal for normal skin types. The Ordinary Retinol 1% in Squalane is the most highly-concentrated formula out of their retinol skincare. The star ingredient is retinol, a form of vitamin a that effectively reduces wrinkles, evens out skin tone and rejuvenates its overall appearance. Combined, with the soothing effects of squalane that comforts and hydrates the skin while you use the serum. Retinol is also known to encourage the production of collagen, which is a natural protein that's an integral part of plump and youthful skin. It also minimises blemishes, allowing you to achieve a smooth, glowing complexion. Why We Love It The Ordinary has created a number of products that are retinol-based, so your skin has a chance to get used to this intense active ingredient. You can do this by gradually working your way up their Retinoid range, and as they're all purse-friendly, you won't have to break the bank to build up your tolerance either. As retinol is an incredibly powerful ingredient, it's recommended that you start with a lower concentration than this product like the 0.2% - until your skin has built up a tolerance. Even though this formula is extremely powerful you won't need to worry about over-applying because you can use the built-in pipette for added control and minimised irritation. How To Use It Using the pipette, apply a small amount to the face during the evening, following water-based serums but before heavier treatments. Don't use this formula with other retinoid treatments. Always use sun protection following this product. Note: Irritation will occur until your skin has built up a tolerance to this product. If irritation persists stop using. Works Well With Explore The Ordinary's full Retinoid collection for a less concentrated solution, which can be used by sensitive skin or anyone who hasn't tried retinol before. Values Vegan.
